From disability to ability through Therapy & Training
Our Mission
Establised in 2004, Balajothi Centre for the Disabled is a Bangalore, India based non-profilt organization that provides care for mentally and physically challenged children. Our aims is to spread awareness on disabilities through campaigns and bring together families with special children, provide counseling and training and motivate them to become self reliant, confident and useful individuals of the society
Most of the children we work with either have Autism & Cerebral Palsy
Autism (ASD) is a serious, incurable mental disorder that hampers one's ability to interact and communicate. This condition is present from early childhood and can be diagnosed as early as 18 months of age.
Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a non-progressive disorder that causes physical disability in development mainly in the areas of body movement and control. It is caused by damage to the motor control centres of the developing brain and can occur during pregnancy, childbirth or after birth. Children affected by CP have problems in perception, communication, cognition and epilepsy. It also leads to musculoskeletal problems resulting in difficulties in movement and balancing.
Our efforts have been validated by international agencies like Global Giving & CAF America
